Ève Noire is a journey into the depths of classical and African music, performed by two performers who take us on a musical tale without words. The sounds and melodies of the violin are nourished by classical and contemporary Western musical culture, while the African percussion instruments, mainly from West Africa, remain as close as possible to their origins, where each instrument and rhythm accompanied a particular event in the life of the tribe. Ève Noire brings these two worlds together, creating a musical unity that is at once classical, contemporary, ethnic and dreamlike.
